Sie wurde vom Gebirgsverein Aussig aus Anlass des 100-jährigen Jubiläums der Schlacht <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">am </ins>Nollendorfer <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Paß </ins>errichtet und am 2. September 1913 eingeweiht. Bis 1918 hieß der Turm nach dem damaligen österreich-ungarischen Kaiser Franz Joseph I. Kaiserwarte <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">und mußte nach </ins>der <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">tschechoslowakischen Machtergreifung umbenannt werden.
